Two things from last year: First is an Instagram photo that depicts Juno in mid-transformation for the series ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’; the second is a scan from a Hungarian weekly magazine, called Nők Lapja (Women’s Paper) about ‘Wonder Wheel’.

Translation for the article:

MOVIE – ‘Wonder Wheel’ – Premiere date: December 7. Only for audiences above 16 years of age! Distributor: Cinetel Kft.

Some say, Woody Allen was afraid that Kate Winslet won’t like his script. He was wrong. The gritty actress happily went for the shooting, which this time took place in New York’s uniquely atmospheric part,  Coney Island, a place, where the same company sells hot dogs since 1916, and the rollercoaster operates since 1927. In Woody Allen’s newest film, four peoples’ lives intertwine and change under the course of a single day. The main cast is made up from the aforementioned ‘Titanic’-actress, alongside Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, and Jim Belushi, who we all know from the ‘K-9’ movie. It’s obvious, that only something spectacular could come out of this!

Little interesting fact: The Hungarian subtitle literally means “giant wheel”, which is our word for the ferris-wheel.

Also a little bit of news: ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’, which features Juno in one of the episodes (Nr. 8, titled ‘Autofac’), will premiere on  Amazon on January 12 next year.

An article, published by bloody-disgusting.com back in this year’s June reveals some interesting informations regarding ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’, and the episode which features Juno. It seems she will only appear in 1 of the 10.

Airing on Channel 4 in the UK later this year and Amazon Prime in the US, anthology series ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ will tell 10 different sci-stories across 10 total episodes. The stories are based on shorts written by the award-winning novelist, and we’ve just learned that Juno Temple (‘Killer Joe’) and Janelle Monae (‘Moonlight’) have signed on for an episode.

Via Deadline, Temple and Monae will lead the “Autofac” episode

Despite society and the world as we know it having collapsed, a massive, automatic product-manufacturing factory continues to operate according to the principles of consumerism – humans consume products to be happy, and in order to consume continuously, they must be denied freedom of choice and free will. When a small band of rebels decide to shut down the factory, they discover they may actually be the perfect consumers after all.

Temple will play Emily, one of the rebels, and Monae plays Alexis, an Autofac representative. Jay Paulson (‘Grimm’) and David Lyons (‘ER’) will also appear in the episode.

Peter Horton (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) directs the episode written by Travis Beacham (‘Pacific Rim’).

Each standalone episode of the series is inspired by Dick’s short stories as adapted by British and American writers including Ronald D. Moore (‘Battlestar Galactica’, ‘Outlander’), Michael Dinner (‘Justified’), Tony Grisoni (‘Red Riding’, ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’), Jack Thorne (‘National Treasure’, ‘Skins’, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’), Matthew Graham (‘Life on Mars’, ‘Doctor Who’), David Farr (‘The Night Manager’), Dee Rees (‘Mudbound’) and Travis Beacham (‘Pacific Rim’).

The series features an all-star cast including Vera Farmiga, Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Mireille Enos, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Richard Madden, Holiday Grainger, Jack Reynor, Benedict Wong, Geraldine Chaplin and Bryan Cranston, who also serves as an executive producer on the series.

Still one day left for UK-based Juno-fans to win a ticket for two to the London world premiere of ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’! The screening is followed by a Q&A with the makers/actors – Juno’s presence is not confirmed. To enter the competition, follow the instructions provided here!

And also a tiny bit of news: Online sources started to declare that ‘Unsane’ will be a horror movie. We already saw that Juno did well in the genre (‘Horns’ and ‘Magic Magic’ are proof), and we’re sure she won’t disappoint us either this time!

The 27-year-old actress – who has starred in movies such as ‘Horns’ and ‘Maleficent’ – revealed she would love to take on the lead role in a biographical film so she could “transform” herself “into somebody the rest of the world knows.”

She said: “I’ve dipped my toes into a fair amount, but dipping your toes doesn’t mean you’ve taken a full dive.

“It would be fun to do a Judd Apatow comedy. It would be fun to do a biopic and really have to transform yourself into somebody the rest of the world knows. I’ve always wanted to play Marilyn Monroe, but Michelle Williams nailed that.”

And while the star waits for a potential offer to fulfill her dream film role, Juno revealed she is tied up with forthcoming TV and film work, including a flick by ‘Irrational Man’ director Woody Allen.

She told The Guardian newspaper: “I’m waiting for a couple of films to come out. I did a film that Woody Allen directed, which was an amazing experience.

Then I’m about to do a thing on TV actually, called ‘Electric Dreams’, and it’s based on Phillip K Dick stories. It’s kind of like ‘Black Mirror’ where each episode is its own bizarre little movie.

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty recently spoke of her frustration about being an “in-between” age in Hollywood.

She said: “There are lots of parts for people who are younger than that in that period and then there are lots of parts for people who are a bit older than that, in their 30s.

“I’m sort of in between. I’m not sure I can really play an 18-year-old anymore, maybe on a good day but honestly, I’m so not 18. So that’s been kind of frustrating this year.”
