See Juno Temple beg Josh Brolin for revenge in Sin City 2 video clip

A new clip from Sin City: A Dame to Kill For centres on Josh Brolin’s character Dwight McCarthy.

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s sequel is composed of a series of vignettes based on Miller’s groundbreaking comic book series.
The new clip features Dwight McCarthy attempting to free Sally (Juno Temple) from her maniacal captor Joey (Ray Liotta).

McCarthy encounters the pair on his mission to free his mysterious former lover Ava Lord (Eva Green) from her abusive husband Damien Lord (Marton Csokas).

‘Maleficent,’ ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ both star Juno Temple this summer

Juno Temple has appeared in more than 30 movies since starting her career in earnest with “Notes on a Scandal” in 2006.

This summer, the busy 24-year-old has two coming out: the refocused Sleeping Beauty story “Maleficent” (May 30) and comic book noir “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” (Aug. 22).

Both were major technical shoots, a newish thing for the English actress who, despite the occasional “Dark Knight Rises,” tends to favor down-and-dirty indie projects such as “Killer Joe,” “Lovelace” and “Afternoon Delight.”

“We did motion capture,” Temple says of her “Maleficent” job as Thistlewit, a ditzy teenage pixie who annoys her older cohorts, played by fellow Brits Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton. “It was such a trippy experience for me because I’ve never done a lot of green screen before and this is a whole other realm of making a movie. You’re just in one big room with loads and loads of cameras, and you have to wear these strange wetsuits that are covered in what are like shiny golf balls. Then we had to wear head cameras and be on wires and stuff.”

She loved flitting about with Staunton and Manville, but didn’t get much face time with the film’s star, Angelina Jolie — depending, that is, on one’s definition of face time.

“I met with Angelina briefly, and she was so great and so cool and so lovely,” Temple reports. “But I didn’t get to do any filming with her, no. I filmed with a giant, Styrofoam version of her.”

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s sequel to their superstylized, hardboiled crime drama “Sin City” also required the actors to work under green screen circumstances for demanding 3-D cameras. Temple, who plays one of the film’s many molls, is confident that the viewing effect will be totally worth it.

James Franco to Direct ‘The Pretenders’ With Trio of Rising Stars (Exclusive)

Jack Kilmer, Shameik Moore and Jane Levy will star in the project with a script by Josh Boone.

James Franco will direct The Pretenders and has cast a trio of of rising stars — Jack Kilmer, Shameik Moore and Jane Levy — as the leads. Brian Cox and Juno Temple also will star.

The Fault in Our Stars helmer Josh Boone wrote the script for the film, which is set in New York City in the 1980s and follows two college friends who fall in love with the same girl, creating a decade-spanning, very unique love story between the threesome.

The script has been circulating since 2013, with various loose actor attachments throughout the years.

The film is being produced as a co-production between Rabbit Bandini Productions, SSS Entertainment and Yale Productions. Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis at Rabbit Bandini, Shaun Sanghani at SSS, Jordan Yale Levine from Yale and Scott Levenson are producing along with Katy Leary.

The prolific actor-director-producer Franco most recently helmed In Dubious Battle, based on the John Steinbeck book, and The Masterpiece, a film about the making-of the infamous “worst film ever” The Room. He’ll soon be seen as an actor in the comedy Why Him? with Bryan Cranston. Franco is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Sloane, Offer.

Kilmer previously worked with Franco on Palo Alto, which was directed by Gia Coppola and based on a story by Franco. The actor’s other credits include The Stanford Prison Experiment, The Nice Guys and the upcoming film Huntsville. He is repped by CAA, Principato-Young and Hirsch Wallerstein.

Moore was the breakout star of Rick Famuyiwa’s film Dope, and then landed Baz Luhrmann’s Netflix musical series The Get Down. He is repped by ICM Partners, Artistic Endeavors, Three Six Zero and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.

Levy starred in the horror film Don’t Breathe, and will soon be seen in Monster Trucks. She is repped by Gersh and Sloane, Offer.

Cox’s many acting credits include recent sci-fi film Morgan, along with Troy, The Bourne Supremacy and Braveheart. He is repped by Paradigm and Insight.

Temple starred in Maleficent, Black Mass with Johnny Depp and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Her upcoming films include Woody Allen’s next project and Netflix’s The Most Hated Woman in America. She is repped by UTA, Troika in the U.K. and Lichter, Grossman. source

News and pictures

First, as always, let’s see the new pictures! We have a very cute promotional image from the ‘Last Call with Carson Daly’ (I’ll try to get screencaps from this); and photos from an upcoming film, called ‘Lost Transmissions’. I have already talked a bit about this, but now it’s clear, this will be a full length feature movie.
