First of all, I’ve tried to “draw” Juno with a Chibi-creator program, here’s the result:) In this post, we’ve assembled a little informational package about the upcoming Juno-projects, which are of course foretelling Juno Temple Network’s future content.

‘Avenues’

This movie was written and directed by Juno’s ex-boyfriend, Michael Angarano. She’s only in the supporting cast, and the movie currently holds a 6/10 score on imbd. It has been shown at a film festival in 2017, and it recieved a limited release earlier this year, but it seems to be available, so expect screencaps soon!

‘Tocsin’

There’s not much information about this mysterious short film, that has only been released on the Cayman Islands so far. It’s as elusive as the earlier ‘Bastard’, and right now, I see very little chance of getting a hold of a copy…

‘(The) Pretenders’

We thought this movie will never see the light of day, but apparently it will be released this autumn in the USA. I have a hunch that Juno’s only in the supporting cast here as well, and it’s strange why they’ve waited so much with the release. It has been shown on the Torino Film Festival, and holds a 6/10 rating on imdb.

‘Lost Transmissions’

We have high hopes towards this movie. It’s confirmed that Juno’s the main female star, the story seems cool (it deals with music and mental illness) and it holds a 7.3 rating on imbd, while there are many praising messages about it on Twitter. Sadly it has only been shown at the Tribeca Film Festival so far, there’s no known release date for it yet.

‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’

I see no reason for this movie to exist, but I really liked the fairies in the previous one, and I hope they’ll get as much or more screentime as before. It will be shown in October, I’ll try to find someone to watch it with me, but the online release won’t happen before winter – at least the worldwide release is sure.

‘Little Birds’

Interesting concept, suits Juno very much, but it also worries me a bit. Ms. Temple has gained overwhelming praise for her previous role in a mini-series role (‘Dirty John’), so even if her movies doesn’t get her the recognition she deserves, this will for sure! ‘Little Birds’ will probably be streamed in 2020.

‘Crooks’

Sounds cool, but not much has happened with it yet. It would be nice, if it would be made, because Juno has never been a main character in a crime movie before. This project is only in the development phase yet, so anything could happen.

‘Friedkin Uncut’

This documentary features Juno as herself, because she worked with William Friedkin on ‘Horns’. It has been shown on film festivals, and it’ll soon be released in the USA, so screencaps could come as early as September.

The site is constantly being plagued by various technical errors this month, but luckily Ana was able to upload these 4 photos. The first one is from ‘The Pretenders’, that still hasn’t really seen the light of day. Sadly it doesn’t get us closer to know, how big Juno’s role will be in it. The second was made in Spain, on the filming location of the upcoming mini-series, ‘Little Birds’ (not to be confused with Ms. Temple’s movie of the same name). The last two are recently surfaced stills from ‘Lost Transmissions’.

I’ll try to upload more files later today, let’s hope together that the issue has been solved!

An Instagram-search produced this photo from the set of ‘Little Birds’, the mini-series, which has the same title as an earlier Juno-movie. The picture was made in Spain, where the set is currently located, and we can see Ms. Temple with her co-star, Yumna Marwan. After the “More” tag, you can read a fresh article about the shooting!

According to an article spreading on Twitter, Juno is joining another television mini-series, called ‘Little Birds’ – which is quite interesting, considering she already had a movie with that exact same title.

A period drama starring ‘Dirty John star Juno Temple is one of the first two original commissions from recently promoted Sky drama chief Cameron Roach. Temple, who also starred in films such as ‘Atonement’ [there’s a typo here in the original text] and ‘Killer Joe’, is fronting Little Birds, an adaptation of Anais Nin’s infamous collection of erotic short stories.

Set in Tangier in 1955, in the famous international zone, one of the last outposts of colonial decadence, it follows troubled American debutante Lucy Savage, played by Temple, as she faces a culture shock.  Thrilled to escape her controlling parents, Savage arrives full of anticipation for her marriage to her English fiancée, Lord Hugo Cavendish-Smythe, little knowing that Hugo has already lost his heart to someone else. As Lucy fights to carve out her independence and identity, her life becomes intertwined with Cherifa Lamour, played by Yumna Marwan, a Moroccan dominatrix who services the diplomats and foreigners of this colourful, bohemian world and Egyptian Aristocrat Adham Abaza, played by Raphael Acloque, and they all become entangled with some very dangerous characters.

The six-part series, which will air in 2020 on Sky Atlantic, will be filmed in Spain and Manchester.

(Can’t say I’m enthusiastic about this, but it can turn out good. Also, only one person on Twitter knew about the previously existing movie with the same title, which is very sad… Maybe Juno will be known in the USA as a television actress, despite all the movies she’s done?)
