Little Birds… Again?

According to an article spreading on Twitter, Juno is joining another television mini-series, called ‘Little Birds’ – which is quite interesting, considering she already had a movie with that exact same title.

A period drama starring ‘Dirty John star Juno Temple is one of the first two original commissions from recently promoted Sky drama chief Cameron Roach. Temple, who also starred in films such as ‘Atonement’ [there’s a typo here in the original text] and ‘Killer Joe’, is fronting Little Birds, an adaptation of Anais Nin’s infamous collection of erotic short stories.

Set in Tangier in 1955, in the famous international zone, one of the last outposts of colonial decadence, it follows troubled American debutante Lucy Savage, played by Temple, as she faces a culture shock.  Thrilled to escape her controlling parents, Savage arrives full of anticipation for her marriage to her English fiancée, Lord Hugo Cavendish-Smythe, little knowing that Hugo has already lost his heart to someone else. As Lucy fights to carve out her independence and identity, her life becomes intertwined with Cherifa Lamour, played by Yumna Marwan, a Moroccan dominatrix who services the diplomats and foreigners of this colourful, bohemian world and Egyptian Aristocrat Adham Abaza, played by Raphael Acloque, and they all become entangled with some very dangerous characters.

The six-part series, which will air in 2020 on Sky Atlantic, will be filmed in Spain and Manchester.

(Can’t say I’m enthusiastic about this, but it can turn out good. Also, only one person on Twitter knew about the previously existing movie with the same title, which is very sad… Maybe Juno will be known in the USA as a television actress, despite all the movies she’s done?)

Public, Promotional and Captured

Lots of new pictures have been added to the Gallery! The first image is from the recently made documentary ‘Friedkin Uncut’, about the legendary director, William Friedkin. Juno talks about him because he directed her movie ‘Killer Joe’. This documentary has so far been shown only at film festivals.

This smaller batch of photos was made in the summer of this year, at a party, hosted by the Streicher Sisters [Jenn, Kristie and Ashley (makeup artist, brow and hair stylists)]. Seems like there was an opportunity to get new tattoos there…

Ju-News

The shooting of ‘Maleficent 2’ has been wrapped up, the premiere date for it has been announced to be May 29th, 2020. The director has posted a picture of the cast and crew on his Instagram, here it is:

Miscellaneous  >  Others

We’ve been unable to decide if Juno is on this picture or not, because the resolution is so low, but there are at least two women there who resemble her. It’s funny that the shooting of the movie took mere months, while the post-production will take up 2 years…

In other news, a documentary about the legendary Hollywood director, William Friedkin is in the works. The film will be called ‘Friedkin Uncut’, and because of ‘Killer Joe’, it will feature Juno.
