New as old, old as new

Three photos have been uploaded to the Gallery, each is related to a different Juno-movie: The first is an on-set photograph from one of her best performances, ‘Cracks’; followed by another set picture from the same year (2009), made during the filming of ‘St. Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold’. Last, but not least is a picture taken at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 – this is strongly related to ‘Afternoon Delight’, but because Juno has red hair, it’s also related to ‘Horns’:

Listen to Juno or just look at her

Here’re 5 new photos of Juno, 2 from the past & 3 from last week (thanks for ‘hourly juno temple’ on Twitter for the first 2); followed by a bit of a long podcast, where Ms. Temple talks about her experiences filming ‘Palmer’ and a little about ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 2:

Miscellaneous > Juno Temple Instagram > 2022

(The first 2 are obviously not from 2022, but I just can’t be bothered to find out, when they were made, probably around 2016.)

Here’s the podcast, forward to 1:31:58 to hear her speak (or click this link):

The interviewer mentions only her supporting roles as examples of her work (‘Atonement’, the ‘St. Trinian’s’ movies & ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’), but I’m happy, that he picked the ‘St. Trinian’s’ films, because those are less mentioned. About the ‘Ted Lasso’ segment, she said that she was afraid of accepting the role, because of the sudden cancellation of ‘Vinyl’.

The most interesting pieces of information about ‘Palmer’:

  • She only had about 24 hours to change from Keeley of ‘Ted Lasso’ to Shelley in ‘Palmer’.
  • The very first scene she had to do was her character’s last scene.
  • She’s still very nervous about all of her roles, because she wants to do them as best as possible, and she transferred this nervousness of hers into the nervousness of Shelley, who’s making that huge decision.
  • She does a long praising of costars Ryder Allen & Justin Timberlake.
  • She tells some facts about Shelley’s choice of drug, crystal meth, that she has researched.
  • She talks about the scene where Shelley’s back after like 4 months of absence, which I have described here as “the Undead Juno scene”. In her own words: “I’ve looked like a bat.”😀 She says that the behavior of her character in that sequence has been copied from a real life meth-addict whom she saw, and that person avoided eye contact as much as possible. Shelley does the same with Palmer there.

It is possible, that until the start of ‘The Offer’, new material will be scarce again. We’ll see…

Television > (2020) Ted Lasso > Keeley Jones POP Figure

She’s based on ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 1 Episode 2, where Keeley wears this dress with white dots. Her earrings are real metal! She was made by Sarah Bee, who has more ‘Ted Lasso’-inspired Funkos & many more! And after the ‘Read More’ tag, there’s an interview with Juno, about her fan-favorite character, plus there’s a little recap of her career as well [these brackets are our additions, the cursive is her own speech]:

Little Birds Interview 3 – Marie Claire

This a long and interesting interview, I suggest reading it! (I’ve added my own thoughts in brackets, using Italics.)

Juno Temple is speaking from her boyfriend’s house in LA, during lockdown. (Who could that be?) She’s sleep-deprived, having just moved house and is struggling to stay awake. You really wouldn’t know. The BAFTA-winning actress (you’ll recognise her from projects like ‘Atonement’, ‘Maleficent’ and ‘Dirty John’ – How come nobody ever talks about the movies where she’s the lead?) is upbeat and animated, having just put the finishing touches to a set of necklaces handcrafted for her girlfriends in lockdown (she wanted to study fashion before Hollywood beckoned). “It focuses my brain on something because I’ve got a brain that can be quite hard to manage” she explains of the jewellery-making. Her latest project, ‘Little Birds’ (out next month) sees her play American debutante Lucy Savage. Here, she explains what drew her to it…
