Extra infos about Juno’s episode of ‘Electric Dreams’

An article, published by bloody-disgusting.com back in this year’s June reveals some interesting informations regarding ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’, and the episode which features Juno. It seems she will only appear in 1 of the 10.

Airing on Channel 4 in the UK later this year and Amazon Prime in the US, anthology series ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ will tell 10 different sci-stories across 10 total episodes. The stories are based on shorts written by the award-winning novelist, and we’ve just learned that Juno Temple (‘Killer Joe’) and Janelle Monae (‘Moonlight’) have signed on for an episode.

Via Deadline, Temple and Monae will lead the “Autofac” episode

Despite society and the world as we know it having collapsed, a massive, automatic product-manufacturing factory continues to operate according to the principles of consumerism – humans consume products to be happy, and in order to consume continuously, they must be denied freedom of choice and free will. When a small band of rebels decide to shut down the factory, they discover they may actually be the perfect consumers after all.

Temple will play Emily, one of the rebels, and Monae plays Alexis, an Autofac representative. Jay Paulson (‘Grimm’) and David Lyons (‘ER’) will also appear in the episode.

Peter Horton (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) directs the episode written by Travis Beacham (‘Pacific Rim’).

Each standalone episode of the series is inspired by Dick’s short stories as adapted by British and American writers including Ronald D. Moore (‘Battlestar Galactica’, ‘Outlander’), Michael Dinner (‘Justified’), Tony Grisoni (‘Red Riding’, ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’), Jack Thorne (‘National Treasure’, ‘Skins’, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’), Matthew Graham (‘Life on Mars’, ‘Doctor Who’), David Farr (‘The Night Manager’), Dee Rees (‘Mudbound’) and Travis Beacham (‘Pacific Rim’).

The series features an all-star cast including Vera Farmiga, Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Mireille Enos, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Richard Madden, Holiday Grainger, Jack Reynor, Benedict Wong, Geraldine Chaplin and Bryan Cranston, who also serves as an executive producer on the series.

Juno Temple was never going to be cast as the high school sweetheart, but as the star of HBO’s new drama, Vinyl, she’s got something much more exciting up her sleeve…

If New York City needs a new tourism ambassador to replace Taylor Swift, then the Big Apple should look to Juno Temple. The 26-year-old actress may be London-born, Somerset-bred and a resident of Los Angeles but since spending six months filming in New York she has fallen for the city, hard. It’s not that Juno’s tired of the West coast, just that the East offers something different. “Los Angeles is all about the entertainment industry,” she explains. “Not that that’s a bad thing, I’ve been here seven years and have had a great time. But I really felt in New York that it’s such a minestrone soup of different people and backgrounds and ideas and jobs. I found it very thrilling to walk into a bar and find it not just full of people from the entertainment industry.”

Juno Temple for Vs. Magazine

She’s only 26, but Juno Temple has been stealing scenes with her fiery energy for over a decade. Now, as one of the stars of HBO’s highly anticipated 70s rock and roll drama Vinyl, the British actress is set to make the leap from indie favorite to full blown superstardom, effortlessly charming the hell out of anyone she encounters on the way.

They say you ought to dress for the job you want, which is precisely what Juno Temple did when she auditioned for her role in Vinyl. Premiering this month, the HBO show, which counts Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger as executive producers, follows a music exec (Bobby Cannavale) as he hustles through the parties and punk rock scene of 70s New York. The British actress showed up to read for precocious A&R assistant Jamie Vine in high-waisted bell-bottoms and a t-shirt by Seditionaries, Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren’s 70s clothing line. “It has Minnie and Mickey Mouse fucking on the front of it, with an anarchy symbol in one of his ears.”

Round two was with Scorsese himself, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. This time, Temple rocked a crocheted, bell-sleeved mini dress with nude fishnets and platforms. Though she was “pretty fucking nervous,” she got a call ten days later, while prepping for the UTA Christmas party, saying she landed the part. “I was in nothing but my knickers in my living room, and I just sat down, weeping. I called and woke my whole family up at 3 o’clock in the morning.”

By now, her family is used to the ups and downs of showbiz. At 26, Temple has appeared in over 35 films, which range from indie favorites like Killer Joe to blockbusters like The Dark Knight Rises. Not to mention that her mother, Amanda Temple, is a producer, and her father is legendary punk filmmaker, Julien.

Temple’s first face-to-face with Scorsese proved nerve-wracking, but meeting Jagger was all gravy. After all, she had already buddied up with his son, James, who plays the lead singer of the show’s punk band Nasty Bits.“Jimmy and the rest of the band nailed it. They exuded this mad, raw energy.”

The actress also returns to the big screen later this year, opposite Timothy Spall, in the unlikely buddy film Away. It’s set in the English town of Blackpool, which Temple describes as, “Vegas meets Coney Island meets Northern England. You see some pretty mad shit.” Take, for example, this spirited Spall fan attending a bachelorette party: “She was walking around with a huge red dildo, and she screams ‘Oi Tim! Sign my dildo!’”

Given their symbiotic fashion sense and mutual love of punk music, it seems Vinyl’s Jamie Vine was the part Temple was born to play. It’s also the role that will propel her from indie darling to full blown star. Whatever the future holds, Temple is game. “Jamie wants to live life, and I definitely feel that same hunger to experience things — to listen to people, learn from people and make music, even if you can’t play the fucking guitar.”

Herts & Essex Observer: Juno Temple discusses her role in Vinyl

Juno Temple’s recalling her reaction to watching the opening episode of Vinyl, the latest TV offering from Martin Scorsese, following the huge success of his Prohibition-set Boardwalk Empire.
“I came out shaking, like I was high as a kite,” the 26-year-old says excitedly. “It felt like a Scorsese film to me. You don’t want to look away for a minute. You don’t want to pee, you don’t cough, you don’t sneeze, and what a great way to bring in the show with that kind of energy.

The 10-part drama is set in Seventies New York, and offers a ride through the sex and drug-addled music business at the dawn of the punk, disco and hip-hop eras (Mick Jagger is a co executive producer).

Temple, who appeared in last year’s Far From The Madding Crowd, plays Jamie Vine, an assistant at the record company run by Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale), who she describes as “pretty feisty and fearless”.

I’m so inspired by her fearlessness, and I hope people think I’m brave with the films I do, and now TV. It’s important to be fearless. You might fall on your face but sometimes, my God, you run a marathon,” exclaims the London-born actress.

What inspires me with Jamie is her joy of being a woman and how she owns that. And even though it’s a time when it was so male-orientated, especially in that industry, she’s not scared of that. She’s going to make herself heard, you know?

Temple believes that while they share “a lot of similarities”, there’s a glaring difference between her and her music-obsessed alter ego.

I spend a lot of my life in my pyjamas, and she would never be caught dead in her pyjamas,” she admits, laughing.

She’s pretty fond of her character’s Seventies clothes, though.

As a woman, it makes you feel stoked to leave the house. They hug the body in the right way. It’s about accentuating being a woman and owning being a woman, and they were really doing that [in the Seventies] because sexuality was open to them in such a new way.”

The petite actress, who’s based in Los Angeles these days, auditioned for the role in New York.

I got a phone call a week or so later to say Marty [Scorsese] wanted to read me, which was definitely a moment,” she grins.

GQ: Juno Temple Rock Out with an Epic Record Collection

HBO’s new show about the music biz in the 1970s is brought to you by some of the biggest names on the planet: Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. But it’s someone you’ve probably never heard of before—Juno Temple—who steals it.

Clique para ver imagem em tamanho realJuno Temple is on the porch of her house in Los Angeles talking about Vinyl, HBO’s new workplace drama/rock ’n’ roll dreamscape/ode to cocaine and private-jet misbehavior. Empire meets Boardwalk Empire, basically, plus about seven other shows, and that’s just in the pilot. Temple plays a young assistant trying to elbow aside the dim men above her—the show’s Peggy Olson.

At just 26, Temple has already made a career of playing badass (and often naked) women in films like Killer Joe and Kaboom. Because of this, she’s earned a deserved reputation for being fearless, but also an annoying reputation for taking her clothes off on-screen—as if the latter weren’t just a manifestation of the former. Like her character on Vinyl, she’s used to ignoring those who underestimate her: “Like, ‘Oh, my God, Juno has three movies at Sundance, and she’s got her tits out in two of them!’ ” From her porch, she takes a weary breath. “Who gives a flying fuck, dude?”
